Safer Baby Bundle eLearning modules

The Safer Baby Bundle is a world-leading eLearning initiative providing every maternity health care professional in Australia with access to the latest, best-practice care guidelines on stillbirth prevention. Launched at Parliament House Canberra in 2019 by Health Minister Greg Hunt, the Safer Baby Bundle is free to access and includes a range of downloadable resources that clinicians can use when providing advice and support to pregnant women about the risk of stillbirth and how to safely reduce the risks.  

The Safer Baby Bundle eLearning modules were created through an extensive co-design process involving clinicians, bereaved parents and representatives across health jurisdictions. It includes six chapters which each take around 20 mins to complete, and clinicians who successfully complete the module and the interactive assessment can be recognised for CPD points by their professional college.

The Safer Baby Bundle eLearning has been highlighted at a recent UNICEF and WHO event.  With more than 5,000 clinicians having now completed the training, this is making a real difference in the quality of care provided and helping Australia to reduce the unacceptably high levels of stillbirth nationally.
