Ryan is a political and public sector powerhouse. He has worked in various roles for the Victorian State Government, as well as policy and chief-of-staff positions in federal ministerial offices.
One of Ryan’s career highlights includes working for the Balibo House Trust where he assisted in transitioning the 400-year-old Portuguese Fort in Timor-Leste into a thriving cultural and tourism destination. He’s also pleased to have contributed to the paid parental leave scheme and NDIS during his time as a Ministerial Advisor.
Ryan also has a special interest in shifting the norms and cultural expectations of the modern-day father, and improving policy settings to allow more dads to become primary caregivers. That is, of course, when he’s not at home reading Spot the Dog books to his son.
