Daniela is a journalist, broadcaster and communications professional who lives in Adelaide after a career spanning the major Australian television networks and the BBC. Most recently she managed media and communications for a Top 30 ASX-listed company.
Daniela returned to Australia in 2016 after five years at the BBC’s World News channel in London, where she worked as a producer before being promoted to one of the channel’s regular presenters.
The Adelaide-born journalist started at the ABC with a cadetship, graduating to its politics desk, She pursued political reporting at Network Ten, before life took her to London, Canberra and back to Adelaide.
Daniela is a Walkley Award finalist, and made a cameo appearance in the Oscar-winning documentary Citizenfour about whistleblower Edward Snowden. She is born to Italian parents and is passionate about her family and her heritage. When she’s not working she enjoys cooking, pilates, listening to podcasts and enjoying time with her nephew.
