Elissa Doherty is an award-winning journalist and communications specialist, with more than two decades’ experience across Australia, Asia, Britain, Europe and the Middle East.
A former News Corp chief of staff and reporter, Elissa established a successful freelance content and media consultancy in 2017, working across mainstream newsrooms and corporate, health and not-for-profit sectors. She excels in using storytelling and communications to build the media profile and reputation of organisations, and raise awareness about important, under-the-radar issues.
Purpose-driven work is her passion and working inside war-torn Ukraine with World Vision to raise global awareness of the humanitarian crisis was a career highlight.
Outside of work, she loves ocean dips, travelling, cooking Greek food and rolling out endless puns.
