Emma worked as a senior journalist and editor for News Corp Australia for more than 12 years, reporting for mastheads The Courier Mail, in Canberra and Brisbane, and MX. Her experience in journalism spanned business, politics and general news reporting, as well as news directing and editing.
She has spent the last six years working at a senior level within Queensland Rail, and possesses a strong understanding of government and the bureaucracy.
Emma is a talented communicator and consensus builder, who understands the importance of clear messaging, quality stakeholder engagement and strong government relations to driving behavioral change and building social license.
Emma joined the 89 Degrees East in 2022 and works as a senior communications consultant based in Queensland.
