Jessica is an award-winning journalist who has extensive experience covering both state and federal politics over two decades.
Over the past 15 years, Jessica has held positions including Federal Political Reporter for the Herald Sun based in Canberra and State Political Editor for The Courier-Mail and Sunday Mail in Brisbane, where she led a team of journalists. She has served as President of the Queensland Parliamentary Media Gallery and won a Clarion Award, among others, for her coverage of Queensland politics.
Jessica forged a reputation as a strong news breaker with impeccable contacts. Her coverage and leadership in statewide public interest campaigns forced policy change in a multitude of areas, particularly mental health, child safety, local government and government integrity.
Jessica has a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism and Bachelor of Arts Degree majoring in Japanese and Criminology at the University of Queensland.
