Miriam (Mim) Rizvi is the ARIA Award nominated star of the 89 Degrees East Team, having co-founded children’s band, The Beanies, who were nominated for Best Children’s Album in 2019.
In a previous communications role with the Sydney Opera House, Mim was instrumental in improving wheelchair access to the Joan Sutherland Theatre.
Mim is passionate about helping children be their most creative selves through the Australian Children’s Television Foundation. Stamping out bullying in schools is also close to her heart, as is R U OK Day.
Away from 89 Degrees East and entertaining children around the country, you’re likely to find Mim listening to podcasts or walking her dog Rosie.
