Sophia is a seasoned communications and stakeholder relations professional with over 10 years of political advocacy and issues management experience working with law-makers, peak bodies, interest groups and community stakeholders.
She has worked with senior public figures and community leaders across local, state and federal governments to facilitate public consultation on the issues that are important to people in their communities.
Most recently, Sophia led public consultation and engagement for the Skills for Victoria’s Growing Economy Review, chaired by the Hon Jenny Macklin, providing end-to-end project management on state-wide stakeholder engagement with education and training institutes, industry groups, students and the wider community.
Since joining 89 Degrees East in 2021, Sophia has worked with the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) to develop their communications, engagement and education four-year Strategic Plan and is supporting other clients to undertake impactful research, outreach and engagement across a wide range of sectors including health, housing and employment services.
In her downtime, Sophia borrows too many books from the library and does her best to read them before they’re due back.
